CNIC Information (cnicinformation.org.pk) is an independently operated informational website focused on one specific, often confusing corner of everyday life in Pakistan: identity documentation. CNIC verification, SIM ownership checks, NADRA renewals, and NICOP applications all involve official processes that change periodically, are spread across multiple government bodies, and are frequently misrepresented by paid third-party websites promising “instant” results. We exist to cut through that confusion with accurate, free, official-source guidance.

Meet the Editorial Lead

Asma Umar is the identity and digital security researcher behind every guide published on CNIC Information. Her work focuses specifically on the intersection of Pakistan’s national identity infrastructure (NADRA), telecom regulation (PTA), and the practical fraud and privacy risks ordinary citizens face when their CNIC or SIM data is mishandled — whether through stolen photocopies, unauthorized SIM registrations, or paid “lookup” services that exploit public anxiety around identity theft.

Each guide on this site — from our flagship SIM Owner Details guide to our coverage of CNIC Verification, NADRA ID Card Renewal, and NICOP for Overseas Pakistanis — is written and reviewed by Asma personally, cross-referenced against official sources, and revisited periodically as Pakistani identity policy evolves.

What We Don’t Do

Why We Built This Site

The idea for CNIC Information came from a simple, recurring observation: searching for basic questions like “how many SIMs are on my CNIC” or “how do I renew my CNIC” too often led to paid third-party websites making bold promises — “instant results,” “complete database access” — that official NADRA and PTA channels simply don’t support being resold this way. Meanwhile, the genuinely free, official methods (SMS short codes, the Pak-Identity portal, cnic.sims.pk) were scattered, under-explained, or buried beneath SEO-optimized paid alternatives.

We built this site to consolidate that scattered official information into single, comprehensive, regularly updated guides — written in plain language, free of paid-service promotion, and explicit about exactly which government channel to use for which task.
